Prostate Enlargement and Premature Ejaculation!!

Premature ejaculation or early ejaculation is one of the most discussed sexual issues among men. It has certain causes including stress, anxiety, depression, fear of performing in bed, fear of pregnancy, bad masturbation habits and certain physical disorders like multiple sclerosis, nerves injury, prostate enlargement, and other neurological problems

What are the Functions of Prostate Gland?

Prostate gland plays a vital role in sexual reproduction. This gland produces semen that is ejaculated during orgasm. Testes produce sperm which goes to vas deferens tube and gets dumped into the prostate. Here it gets mixed with the seminal fluid which is produced in prostate gland.

The semen which is ejaculated during orgasm contains 5% sperm, 95% of secretions from seminal vesicles and prostate fluid (80% of final mix). The white color of ejaculate is due to prostate fluid.

Another vital function of prostate is to help in the control of urine flow. Mainly muscular sphincter valve that is located at the bottom of your bladder regulates the urine flow but prostate also provides support in this.

How Prostate Enlargement Affects Ejaculation Process?

The chances of premature ejaculation occur when prostate gets enlarged in size. Prostate stores and produces semen during sex and controls the ejaculation process through sympathetic nerves. Now when prostate size increases it gets easily rubbed during sex stimulating orgasm which leads to early ejaculation.
